Ocean Beach

Photo Tour | Points of Interest

Ocean Beach is a laid back beach community looking much the same as it has since the 70′s, favoring  boutique stores and cafes to  corporate giants…

Occupying the peninsula along with Point Loma, “OB” has managed to retain the laid-back beach attitude of yesterday.  Newport Avenue is the downtown “Main Street” of Ocean Beach, and home to a popular  Farmer’s Market that highlights every Wednesday evening.  Well stocked antique shops and eclectic boutiques span decades of ‘style’, while restaurants & bars keep the streets busy well after dark. Think retro sandy beach town meets Woodstock!

At the north corner of Ocean Beach lies San Diego’s original Dog Beach, where lucky hounds have been romping in the waves  since 1972.  Nearby walking & bicycle trails are plentiful, as well as a huge sports park. Real estate values are reasonable here, especially when you consider the close proximity to walk out beaches and the convenient location to downtown San Diego. Rentals are plentiful and some of the best pro-waves can be had in nearby Sunset Cliffs…
