Coronado Island is graced with a delightful village, Victorian architecture, and one of the Top 5 beaches in the United States…
Coronado rests at the north end of the Silver Strand and otherwise is only accessible by bridge, boat or water taxi. Arriving in the Village, one feels a world away from the buzz of downtown San Diego. The Hotel Del Coronado is a (motion) picture perfect setting, and the idyllic beach it adjoins is a popular destination among visitors. Orange Avenue is the pedestrian friendly downtown center of Coronado, with numerous charming boutiques, casual restaurants, theater and cafes to laze the day away.
The Coronado Ferry is a scenic approach to the island from downtown San Diego. Ferry Landing Marketplace is a busy center of activity, hosting many shops, regular concerts, and a fishing pier with postcard perfect views of the downtown skyline across the bay.
Along the Silver Strand, the Coronado Cays is a unique community of waterfront homes built around canals named with a Caribbean flair. Nearby, Silver Strand State Beach offers one of very few beachfront camping opportunities to visitors in self-contained RV’s, as well as an extensive aquatic recreation center.
