Logistics
- Lifeguard services → if any ← varies by season, day, hours, even weather!
- A large public parking are is located on Voltaire, right off of West Point Loma Boulevard
- Public restrooms are just south of Dog Beach, near Voltaire St. & Brighton Avenue
- Dogs are allowed off leash on Dog Beach, but should be leashed in the parking area and in the wetland area extending inland along the rivermouth, where wetland restoration is in progress. Dogs are not allowed on other beach areas in OB
- Picnic Tables, BBQs & Fire pits are available on a first come, first serve basis south of Dog Beach at Ocean Beach Park at the south end of Saratoga Street, 1 block west of Abbott
Directions
Take Interstate 5 to Sea World Drive exit. Follow Sea World Drive to Ocean Beach area and stay right to reach Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. Turn right at West Point Loma Boulevard to reach the beach parking area adjacent to Dog Beach. Enjoy!
