“At the north end of Seacoast Lane, where Palm Avenue meets the Pacific Ocean, there is a statue, ‘Spirit of Imperial Beach’, that leads the way to beach access and a rocky breakwater providing some shelter from the waves. The beach itself is rather shallow at high tides, but I like to visit the area to take in the surf history that fills IB’s streets, in the form of benches & pipe sculptures that line Palm Avenue. Who says you can’t teach an old gull new tricks?” Sandbag C. Gull
A few establishments here offer food and drink, otherwise amenities are located a short walk away at the Dunes Park. There is a small parking area just west of Seacoast on Palm with easy access to the beach, with ramps to the sand level. A perfect spot to catch some waves or just enjoy the view!
