A few short blocks south of the Pier, Imperial Beach Boulevard reaches the beach. IB’s recent resurgence of public art is showcased here in a tangled sculpture of pipe that changes it’s appearance at every angle. Logistics
- Lifeguard services → if any ← varies by season, day, hours, even weather!
- There are no restroom facilities at this location, although the nearby IB Pier offers public restrooms and eateries
- There are some handicapped parking spaces here amongst the limited street parking
- A ramp provides some access to the beach proximity before ends in steps to the sand
Directions
From I-5, exit at Coronado Avenue (exit 4) and head west. Continue as Coronado becomes Imperial Beach Boulevard.
